Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Event Time: 2023-07-05T12:00Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2023-07-05T12:00:00-HSS-001 (version 3)
Event End Time:
Peak Solar Wind Speed (km/s): 520.0
Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb:
Note: A few potential Coronal Holes may be associated with this HSS. There is a faint/diffuse CH somewhat in the shape of a spiral in the northern hemisphere that crossed the central meridian around 2023-07-03 with a more notable CH to the East of the spiral CH that started to cross the central meridian on 2023-07-04. The solar wind speed increases to above 400 km/s, reaching maximum sustained solar wind speeds around 500 km/s. This increase in solar wind speed is accompanied by a sustained increase in temperature. Density data is unreliable throughout much of the arrival signature.
